For staffing agencies
Assignments, periods and pay in one place
Who is qualified, who is available, how long they may stay with this hirer, and what they have to be paid from when: that is the daily work of an agency, and it is spread over spreadsheets in most of them.
The situation
The expensive mistakes are the quiet ones
An expired certificate, an assignment that has run past its statutory limit, a surcharge step that should have taken effect weeks ago: none of this reports itself. It surfaces in an audit, in a claim from an employee, or in a hirer's complaint about an invoice.
So the periods are not a report at the end of the month. They belong next to the assignment while it runs, with the date they end and the reason they end then.
The intended flow
From the request to the invoice
Three steps, and the data entered in the first one is the data the last one bills.
Match and contract
A hirer's request, matched against the pool by qualification, period and location. What is agreed becomes the hiring contract, and who is assigned when and for what becomes its specification.
Watch the periods
The maximum assignment period and the equal pay date are calculated per employee and hirer, including the effect of interruptions, and they are shown rather than applied in silence. The dispatcher sees which period ends when and why.
Hours, released and billed
Timesheets per employee, assignment and week, released by the hirer. The invoice is built from released hours with the agreed rate and the surcharges that apply, so what is billed is what somebody confirmed.
Packages
Three packages
The statutory periods are in the first one. They are a liability matter, not an upgrade.
Basic
For an agency that wants its pool, its contracts and its statutory periods in one place.
What is includedProfessional
For an agency that bills from released hours and works under collective agreements with surcharges.
What is includedEnterprise
For an agency whose staffing has to reach its ERP, its payroll and its recruiting systems.
What is includedWith or without SAP
Two ways to run it
NCS-Staffing is planned to run either in the cloud on its own or together with SAP Business One. The rules are the same in both: they live in one core that knows neither SAP nor the cloud, so an assignment is judged the same way whichever way you run it.
With SAP Business One we use the standard where it suffices: the hirer is a business partner, with the quotations, outgoing invoices, financials, dimensions and projects that come with it. What is built is what SAP does not know - the candidate pool, the hiring contract, the periods, the collective pay work and the billing from released hours.
Tell us how you work today
NCS-Staffing is still being designed, which is the best moment to influence it. Tell us which collective agreements you work under and where it hurts today, and that goes into the design.
